Modular Design = Enhanced Field Serviceability
One of the key advantages to investing in a Dazor magnifier is that we utilize a modular design - making components accessible and easily replaceable - that allows users to easily service the magnifier for years.
We understand that there is no benefit to the claim of 50,000+ hours of LED lifetime if the entire fixture has to be thrown away when a single electronic component fails and cannot be accessed for replacement. Dazor’s modular design enhances their ability to be serviced in the field.
- Power Adapter: We locate the power adapter that converts AC to DC power outside of the fixture with a barrel type connection.
- Driver Board: We avoid “driver on board” design used by many others in favor of a design which separates the LEDs and electronic components so if any component fails before the LED, the entire engine does not fail.
- LED Board: By separating the LED board from the driver components and applying proper thermal management (among other variables), we better ensure that LEDs will last their rated life.
- Quick Disconnects: To further enhance field serviceability, Dazor magnifiers employ quick disconnects (versus soldered connections) that allow users to access and replace components should the need arise. See example.
